By Loaf & Ladle started with a simple belief: that the food we eat every day, and the food we give to the people we love, deserves more thought than it usually gets.
From monthly bake boxes and charcuterie to wedding breakfasts, event boxes and grazing tables, it's all made with the same attention to detail.
This isn't a factory. It's a small food business built on the idea that quality and care aren't luxuries - they're just the right way to do things.
Meet Clare
I'm Clare, the founder of By Loaf & Ladle, and the person who makes everything you order. Every bake, every box, every grazing table. It's just me, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
I've been a foodie for as long as I can remember. Cooking for friends and family has always been one of my favourite things - but it was the first time I baked my first loaf of bread that something really clicked. The whole house filled with that smell, and I remember thinking: this is it. This is the thing.
By Loaf & Ladle grew out of that moment.
I've always been the person in my family and friend group who goes a little further for special occasions. Birthdays, Christmas, even a Sunday get-together. I love finding the right things, putting them together beautifully, and making the moment feel considered. The wrapping, the curation, the small details that tell someone you really thought about it. By Loaf & Ladle is the natural home for all of that, a chance to do what I've always done, for people who appreciate it as much as I do.
When you order from By Loaf & Ladle, you're not ordering from a production line. You're ordering something that I will personally bake, prepare, and arrange, with the same care I'd put into something I was making for people I love. Because as far as I'm concerned, that's the only way worth doing it.

From wedding morning breakfast boxes and corporate gifts to charcuterie cups and celebration boxes, food made for the occasions worth celebrating.
Grazing Tables
A curated bake box with a new theme each month. Pre-order only, in limited numbers.
Generous spreads of cheese, charcuterie, crackers, fruit and other good things, prepared and styled for your event.
Small business, big appetite
By Loaf & Ladle is small by design.
It means I can be involved in every order, know exactly what's going into the food and take the time to get the little things right.
There won't be hundreds of boxes rolling off a production line here. There will be good food, made in small batches, by someone who genuinely cares about what ends up on your table.
And I think that's a pretty good way to do things.
