A Letter from the Kitchen

A little something lovely for your letterbox. A monthly recipe subscription from the By Loaf & Ladle kitchen. Each month includes a seasonal recipe, a letter from the kitchen, a cosy puzzle and a unique tea or infusion.

A little piece of our kitchen, delivered to your door

Remember when getting something through the post felt exciting?

A Letter from the Kitchen is a monthly baking and recipe subscription designed to bring a little of that feeling back.

Each month, a little envelope will arrive through your letterbox, filled with things to make, read, do and enjoy - all inspired by the season and what's happening in our kitchen.

It's not a box full of things you don't need. It's something small, thoughtful and intentionally made to be enjoyed slowly.

You get to sit down with your freshly made bake, a cup of delicious tea and take a little moment for yourself.

What's inside?

Every month you'll receive four little pieces of the By Loaf & Ladle kitchen:

A letter
A personal note from us, sharing what's been happening in the kitchen, what we've been baking and a few seasonal thoughts.

A recipe
A seasonal recipe to make at home, with each recipe card designed to become part of your By Loaf & Ladle collection.

A puzzle
A little crossword, quiz or other paper-and-pencil distraction to give you some screen-free time.

A cup of tea
A tea or infusion chosen to suit the month's theme and recipe.

A lovely gift for bakers and food lovers

Looking for a thoughtful gift for someone who loves baking, cooking or receiving a little post?

A Letter from the Kitchen makes a lovely alternative to a traditional gift box, whether it's for a birthday, Christmas, a thank you, a housewarming, or simply because.

How does the monthly bake club work?

It's easy.

1. Subscribe

Sign up and your first letter will be prepared in the By Loaf & Ladle kitchen.

2. Wait for the post

Your letter is carefully packed into an envelope and posted straight to your door, ready for a little bit of kitchen-inspired joy.

3. Bake something lovely

Open your letter and discover what's inside, then get started on your seasonal bake. Your recipe is yours to keep, so you can make it again and again.

4. Put the kettle on

Once your bake is out of the oven, make yourself a lovely cup of tea, sit down and enjoy it while you work your way through your cosy seasonal puzzle.

Then do it all again next month.
